Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements and covers first aid basics and CPR and AED skills for adults, children, and infants. 100% classroom training means students are with an AHA Instructor for their entire learning experience. Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults and CPR/AED. Optional Modules: CPR/AED for Children and Infants may be added. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Important! Training Records in MOPD. All child care providers, directors, and staff members must complete a MOPD account setup and system membership before their training records can verified. Resources to help you complete these steps are on the MOPD Instructions webpage.
If you are a provider or director, remember that each staff member who is “self reported” must be verified by your program in MOPD. If you are a child care provider or director and you need assistance interpreting the Staff Report for your program, this video How to Run Reports demonstrates how to find and use the reports. If you need additional assistance after watching these videos, contact MOPD@dese.mo.gov or call 573-884-3373.
MOPD ONLY:
Reminder! Missouri Professional Development (MOPD) System. The MOPD instructions webpage includes several resources to help child care providers use the new MOPD system. One of the frequently asked questions this month was how to access the Staff Report. Here are the steps for accessing reports.
You can find step-by-step instructions on Page 32 of the MOPD Instructions document on how to Claim your Organization and how to Invite Staff to join your staff list. If you need additional assistance, call 573-884-3373 or email MOPD@dese.mo.gov.
