Important! Training Records in MOPD. All child care providers, directors, and staff members must complete a MOPD account setup and system membership before their training records can verified. Resources to help you complete these steps are on the MOPD Instructions webpage.

  • This video 1. Account Setup demonstrates how to set up an account.
  • This video 2. System Membership demonstrates how to establish the system membership.
  • For written instructions on how to complete these steps, go to the Table of Contents in the MOPD User Instruction Manual and click on the topic to jump to that section.

If you are a provider or director, remember that each staff member who is “self reported” must be verified by your program in MOPD. If you are a child care provider or director and you need assistance interpreting the Staff Report for your program, this video How to Run Reports demonstrates how to find and use the reports. If you need additional assistance after watching these videos, contact MOPD@dese.mo.gov or call 573-884-3373.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid and modules in Pediatric First Aid, Child/Infant/adult CPR AED and optional modules covering Asthma Care Training. The modular classroom-based course is designed to be flexible and allow Instructors to teach either Pediatric First Aid, CPR AED or both.  Students may also wish to consider the combination or blended class:  AHA Online course plus the Classroom Skills & Practice course.

MOPD ONLY:

Reminder! Missouri Professional Development (MOPD) System. The MOPD instructions webpage includes several resources to help child care providers use the new MOPD system. One of the frequently asked questions this month was how to access the Staff Report. Here are the steps for accessing reports.

  1. Claim your Organization in the MOPD system, this establishes your program with an account in MOPD.
  2. Staff need to apply for a Registry Profile Membership and complete the Employment information.
  3. Staff need to be moved from “Self-reported” status to “Verified by Program” status, which means you have confirmed that they belong in your program.
  4. Once you have established your Organization and Verified your staff, then the Staff Report can be accessed and all of the staff you verified will appear in your staff reports.
  5. Reports are found in the "Report" tab of your program's profile.
    1. You can view each individuals staff member's clock hours for the year by clicking on their name within the Staff Report.
    2. Training records can be found on the second page of the Professional Development Learning Record.

You can find step-by-step instructions on Page 32 of the MOPD Instructions document on how to Claim your Organization and how to Invite Staff to join your staff list. If you need additional assistance, call 573-884-3373 or email MOPD@dese.mo.gov.
