    The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid and modules in Pediatric First Aid, Child/Infant/adult CPR AED and optional modules covering Asthma Care Training. The modular classroom-based course is designed to be flexible and allow Instructors to teach either Pediatric First Aid, CPR AED or both.  Students may also wish to consider the combination or blended class:  AHA Online course plus the Classroom Skills & Practice course.

    HeartSaver Courses

    Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.  Fitness Instructors, Teachers, Social Workers, etc.  Heartsaver classroom courses are video based, are instructor led, and feature group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an American Heart Association Instructor. Skills are taught with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique that allows students to practice skills as the video guides them. Classroom courses may also be conducted on-site at a company’s location. Designed to meet OSHA regulations, this course covers first aid basics, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. 100% classroom training means students are with an AHA Instructor for their entire learning experience.

      The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compression, deliver appropriate ventilation and provide early use of an AED.
      In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

      The Heartsaver or BLS  blended learning training offers flexibility for employers, students, and Instructors. The eLearning (online) portion of the course is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for CPR/AED or CPR/AED/First Aid  training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor focused on meaningful skills coaching, practice, and testing.  Note:  Students must have completed the AHA online course prior to taking the Skills Class. The cost of the online course does not include the cost of the skills class!

        HeartSaver Courses

        Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.  Fitness Instructors, Teachers, Social Workers, etc.  Heartsaver classroom courses are video based, are instructor led, and feature group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an American Heart Association Instructor. Skills are taught with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique that allows students to practice skills as the video guides them. Classroom courses may also be conducted on-site at a company’s location. Designed to meet OSHA regulations, this course covers first aid basics, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. 100% classroom training means students are with an AHA Instructor for their entire learning experience.

        The Heartsaver or BLS  blended learning training offers flexibility for employers, students, and Instructors. The eLearning (online) portion of the course is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for CPR/AED or CPR/AED/First Aid  training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor focused on meaningful skills coaching, practice, and testing.  Note:  Students must have completed the AHA online course prior to taking the Skills Class.         The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid and modules in Pediatric First Aid, Child/Infant/adult CPR AED and optional modules covering Asthma Care Training.
